Meningitis UK is fortunate to consistently maintain a number of successful income streams. These voluntary contributions enable us to continue to make a significant contribution towards our Search 4 a Vaccine Campaign.
Our principal sources of funds are derived from the charity's friends and supporters, events, charitable trusts, schools and universities.

The funds raised are used to achieve our charitable objectives
The main objective of the charity is to advance the education of the public through the promotion and support of research into the causes and treatment of all strains of meningitis and associated infections and diseases whether viral or bacterial in nature, on terms that the results of such useful research are published.
How the money is allocated
During the financial year 2010/11, expenditure was spent on the following areas: direct charitable activities, generating funds, governance and a small amount of merchandising.
