Ways to pledge your support
Corporate donations: For donations over £500 we will link your donation directly to a research project of your choice and provide you with regular progress reports so you can see how it's progressing. We can also arrange for your team to visit the project, plus we can provide you with images and quotes for your own materials. You can get relief against your corporation tax profits for the amount donated so it's extremely tax effective.
Gifts in Kind: We are always on the look out for raffle and auction prizes for our various events. We often get several times the real value which is a fantastic way to raise much-needed funds for our research. In return, we will publicise the name of your company in all promotional materials and media coverage.
Charitable trusts: Many companies now have charitable trusts set up specifically with the purpose of giving to charity. If your company has a charitable trust that would be interested in making a grant to Meningitis UK, we would love to hear from you. Donations such as this are vital in driving our research forward towards our goal of eradicating meningitis and the heartache it causes.
Recent support
Gumigem - Corporate Donations

Meningitis UK is delighted to be supported by Dundee-based company, Gumigem, who have signed up to make a generous monthly donation to the charity.
Jenny McLaughlan, Managing Director of Gumigem, set up the company after her own son fell ill with viral meningitis aged just seven weeks old.
Jenny said "I always knew that I wanted to support a charity when I set up Gumigem. Having experienced the effects of meningitis first hand, I chose Meningitis UK because they are actively working to develop a vaccine to eradicate meningitis."
Eden Springs - Corporate Donations
Eden Springs have kindly donated 200 bottles of water to Meningitis UK to refresh walkers at this year’s Big Stroll North East.
Glaxo Smith-Kline - Corporate Grants
Meningitis UK was an awarded grant of £99,628 by GlaxoSmithKline, one of the UK's leading research-based pharmaceutical companies. GlaxoSmithKline runs a grant-giving scheme, which over the past eleven years has awarded over £5 million pounds to over 50 medical research projects. Following our application for support, Meningitis UK was short-listed and invited to submit three research projects to be considered for funding.
The grant will fund in full Dr Andrew Pollard's Meningitis B Vaccine Development Project at Oxford University. This is the biggest one-off donation ever received by Meningitis UK and will play a significant part in the advancement of our vaccine development programme. We are very grateful to GlaxoSmithKline for their very generous support.
