Wedding dress ball
This is a perfect opportunity to dust off your wedding/bridesmaid dress, or even your favourite ball gown. If so, supporter Alice Austin is hosting a wedding dress ball on Saturday 9 October at the Cobham Hilton and would love to see you there! The night includes a drinks reception, a yummy three course meal, disco, entertainment, an auction, raffle and a celebrity guest! The ball starts at 7.30pm and costs £50 per person with a reduced cost for tables. For more information and to book your place, visit the wedding dress ball website.

Meningitis UK runs the fabulous annual Spencer's Ball each September in the Bristol area, so why not come along and have a great night out? Alternatively, why not run your own Ball, and donate the proceeds to Meningitis UK? Spencer's Ball

A massive thank you to everybody who attended and supported our annual Spencer's Ball, which was held this year at Tortworth Court in Gloucestershire. Glamour and glitz prevailed at the ball, with revelers proving they were licensed to thrill at the James Bond-themed event. We raised a staggering £14,000 altogether, from ticket sales, a raffle and some sky-high auction bids. A host of star lots were up for grabs in the auction, with a holiday in France fetching the highest price at £1,400.
Spencer's Ball is held in memory of Spencer Dayman and is one of the highlights in the Meningitis UK calendar. 2008 was a wonderful extravaganza, with a record attendance of 280. As well as a cocktail reception, four-course dinner and casino games, guests were treated to a show-stopping performance from a Shirley Bassey impersonator.
With thanks to everyone who helped, attended and supplied the wonderful raffle prizes and auction lots. Your hard work has raised a fantastic amount of money which will go towards our continued Search 4 a Vaccine.
Wedding Dress Ball

Big thanks and well done to ball pro Alice Austin, who successfully ran her second Wedding Dress Ball, in memory of her daughter Gillian, and in support of Meningitis UK. Over 100 guests danced the night away at Sandown Park Racecourse, where a bevy of beauties enjoyed the chance to wear their wedding dress again. Attendees of the ball expressed their delight at the entertainment, in particular the band, who had everybody making a beeline for the dancefloor. Funds raised were in excess of £1,500 .Thank you to everyone involved for their continued support for Meningitis UK.
Martin's Gala Ball

2008 was the 8th year for Martin's Gala Ball, a stylish event held in memory of Martin Finch, and a wonderful fundraiser for Meningitis UK. This year's ball was held at the glamorous Hilton Hotel in Arundel, with lots of exciting auction items and a raffle. An amzing £5,000 was raised on the night, and all funds go towards Meningitis UK's Search 4 a Vaccine Campaign.
