Events throughout the year

You can Ride 4 Meningitis at any time of the year you like if you are organising your own sponsored cycle, or you can join in a pre-organised ride on certain dates throughout the calendar year. We have partnered with Adventure Café for some of the more exciting and challenging routes you can do on your bike, and if you fancy going further afield our charity challenge partner run a cycling expedition to Cuba.

Dunfermline to Mintlaw cycle ride

Well Done and thank you to Kevin and Helen who cycled 170 miles from Dunfermline to Mintlaw, Aberdeenshire and raised an incredible £1065 in celebration of Eve.

We both enjoyed the challenge and were pleased to able to raise funds for a very worthwhile cause. I was fairly set on raising funds for meningitis, particularly as my daughter Eve contracted the pneumococcal virus at 6 months. Eve thankfully made a full recovery and is now 7 years old and getting ready for primary 3 after the summer.  I had approached a couple of meningitis charities but found the  support from Meningitis UK was first class and by far the best in terms of taking an interest in our relatively small challenge.... thanks very much!!” Kevin

Manchester - Blackpool bike ride
Well done to Jane Armstrong and Nick Gibson who successfully completed the Manchester-Blackpool bike ride. They joined thousands of cyclists who set off from the town hall in Manchester in the early morning sunshine, all set for the 60 miles of the route. Jane and Nick wheeled on to the promenade in Blackpool at around 4pm, having raised a fantastic £300 for Meningitis UK's Search 4 a Vaccine Campaign. Thank you Jane and Nick!
