The legendary Great North Run is the world's most popular half marathon, and the UK's biggest running event, which will take place in 2010 in September. Come and join over 50,000 runners pounding the strees between Newcastle and South Shields, on a route devised by former Olympian Brendan Foster. Renowned for its fantastic atmosphere, this race is not be missed!

If you run for us you will receive one of our 'Meningitis Musketeers' vests (the coolest vest in the UK!), a fundraising pack full of encouraging ideas, sponsor forms, your own online fundraising page and lots of moral support. Plus the Meningitis UK team will be there to cheer you on and we will meet you at our marquee at the end of the race to celebrate!
