The 4 Hour Challenge 2008
On Friday 4th April Meningitis UK are challenging businesses across the UK to take 4 hours out of their day to raise as much money as they can, and show that they are the best in the business when it comes to creative and savvy fundraising.
The 4 Hour Challenge – on the fourth day of the fourth month – will ask people like you to step away from their spreadsheets and see how much they can achieve within 4 hours to raise money in support of Meningitis UK’s search 4 a vaccine.
This is a chance for you to get creative and come up with your own fun 4 hour idea, or if you want a little bit of inspiration we also have lots of suggestions for you to chose from. If you’re brave you could even auction your boss for 4 hours!
If your company hasn’t got 4 hours to spare, don’t worry because you can still get involved, perhaps by organising a dress-down day, or allowing employees to ‘buy’ the opportunity to leave work at 4pm in return for a donation?
As well as raising all-important money, taking part in the 4 Hour Challenge could help to strengthen bonds with your team, generate interesting publicity ideas, and it will of course help us to eradicate meningitis for good.
Meningitis is the biggest infectious killer of children under the age of five in the UK, and has the power to kill in under 4 hours. Meningitis UK’s Search 4 a Vaccine Campaign aims to raise £7million in 7 years to eradicate the disease, so please register your company for the 4 Hour Challenge now.
4 Hours can make a huge differance, are you up 4 it?
