Other Ways to Help
As well as giving a donation or fundraising, there are plenty of other ways to help Meningitis UK. Here are just a few...
Bands of Hope
Show your support by wearing one of our exclusive ‘Searching for a Vaccine' duotone wristbands. The wristbands cost £2 each plus postage and packaging.
To order, please call the fundraising team on 0117 373 73 73, or print off a donation form and complete the 'Charity Merchandise' section and return along with your form of payment to Meningitis UK, 25 Cleeve Wood Road, Downend, Bristol, BS16 2SF.

Buy and Sell on eBay
If you feel like you could do with a clear out, or are a regular ‘eBayer' and would like to donate some of the proceeds, you can now sell items on eBay and donate between 10% and 100% of the proceeds to Meningitis UK.
Alternatively, if you would like to buy something to benefit the cause, you can take a look through what's on offer as all items feature a charity ribbon, our name and logo and the percentage that is being donated.

Money for old Mobiles
Meningitis UK has teamed up with mobile phone giants ‘The Link', which means that through their ‘Fonebak' recycling scheme you can turn your old mobile phones into money for Meningitis UK, plus help to relieve the burden on the environment and provide improved communications in developing countries at the same time.
It is estimated that there are currently 49 million mobile phone subscribers in the UK and that over 15 million mobile phones are replaced each year, many of which end up forgotten in drawers or in landfill.
Accessories can also be donated including batteries and chargers and for each mobile phone that can be recycled, Meningitis UK will receive £5.
To donate your phone, please send it in a padded envelope and post it free of charge to Freepost RLXH-EUHK-JBGZ, Meningitis UK, 25 Cleeve Wood Road, Downend, Bristol BS16 2SF. Or, if you would like a mobile phone collection box for your company or have any questions about how the scheme works, please contact Laura Chapman, Trusts & Corporate Partnerships Officer on 0117 373 73 73 or email laurachapman@meningitisuk.org

Share your Cashback Rewards
The amount of people who shop online is growing everyday. Cashback Rewards is a new online shopping mall, where you can shop online and earn cashback from the commission that the site generates, which you can then choose to donate to Meningitis UK.
The site acts as a portal to a large number of leading retailers from Tescos to Toys R'Us to Thomson. On average, the cashback is normally around 5-10% but can be as much as £100 plus with some retailers. This is on top of all the discounts and promotions the company you are buying from offers.

Everyclick Counts... Raise money just by searching the Web
We are delighted to announce that Meningitis UK has joined forces with www.everyclick.com - the search engine that helps charity. Everyclick.com is an internet search engine with a big difference - it donates half its revenues to charity
To raise money for Meningitis UK every time you search the web, please go to www.everyclick.com/uk/meningitisUK and click 'Make everyclick your home page'. It does not cost us, or you, a penny so please use it to support Meningitis UK.
Donate by Tax Return
Did you know that if you complete a self assessment tax return and are a UK taxpayer, you can donate to charity all or part any repayment due?
The refund will be treated as a Gift Aid donation, which means Meningitis UK can get an extra 28p from the Inland Revenue for every pound you give, plus we don't even have to make a claim.
When completing your self assessment form, all you have to do is give Meningitis UK's unique code, which is UAA75SG to ensure the charity receives your tax refund.
For further information, please contact the fundraising team on 0117 373 73 73 fundraising@meningitisUK.org or phone the Inland Revenue's charity helpline on 08453 02 02 03 or visit www.hmrc.gov.uk/charities/charitable-giving.htm
Volunteer
Volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways of helping whilst meeting new people and having fun at the same time. We are always looking for people to help out in our Bristol office or to lend a hand at events and fundraising activities across the country. To find out more about getting involved, please see our dedicated Volunteering page.
