Staphylococcal

Staphylococcus meningitis can be caused by the Staphylococcus aureus or Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria. It usually develops as a complication of a surgical procedure, e.g. neurosurgical interventions, or as an infection spread by the blood from another site.
