Festival starts with a tribute to Justin

A SPECIAL performance at the Pennine Spring Music Festival will be given in memory of meningitis victim Justin Miles Olden.

He was just 38 when he died from the disease last June.

Sixteen singers from Opera North will kick off the music festival with a performance at Heptonstall Parish Church on Monday May 30.

They are all friends and colleagues of Justin and are raising money for Meningitis UK, which funds vaccine research and raises awareness of meningitis.

Singer Victoria Sharpe said: "Justin was a very kind and gentle man and the show on the Monday will be very special indeed."

Acts fom across the country will turn out to perform at shows at Heptonstall Parish Church and Heptonstall Methodist Sunday school.
