Table top sale to help protect future generations
STAFF and parents from a Thornbury nursery are holding an all-day table top sale to help protect future generations from meningitis.
Little Acorns Nursery on Gillingstool Road is opening its doors on Saturday (October 29) from 10am to 4pm for the fundraising event in support of Meningitis UK.
The nursery is raising money for the charity in memory of Ryan Johnson from Downend, Bristol who sadly lost his battle with meningitis in April last year aged three.
Meningitis UK chief executive, Steve Dayman, from Alveston, said: "Everyone's efforts at Little Acorns in memory of Ryan are fantastic and we are extremely grateful for their support. I wish them every success with this event.
"The nursery also did a sponsored walk last year and all the money they raise goes directly towards our Search for A Vaccine Campaign and our ultimate goal to spare people the heartache of losing a loved one to meningitis."
